The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still reeling from a gut-wrenching home loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. With the Bucs now effectively out of Super Bowl contention, it seems that's it's a good time for Buccaneers players to express what their thoughts are about the season they just had.

For Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David, he came forward after the loss to the Rams and shed a bit of light on a team disturbance that apparently hindered the Buccaneers' progress towards a successful Super Bowl defense (h/t Via Scott Reynolds of Pewter Report).

“It’s football, man,” said David, who led the team with 11 tackles and a fumble recovery. “Things happen, starting with bringing all 22 guys back. It wasn’t going to be a cakewalk because obviously it’s football. Things happen. People get hurt. You have some mishaps here and there. Guys bump heads. That’s what happened this year. You had a lot – a lot of turmoil going on in our organization.

Of course, there was the controversial split of  Buccaneers and wide receiver Antonio Brown just before the playoffs. But there could be more to that, based on  David's reaction to the season the Buccaneers just had.

In any case, the Buccaneers will have a long offseason to figure out what they need in order to rebound from a bitter postseason exit.
