After winning Super Bowl 55 on Sunday, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette shared the type of leadership that Tom Brady exemplified all throughout the season. Fournette claimed that the quarterback texted their Buccaneers teammates a simple but strong message every night leading up to the title game, via Sports Illustrated.

“We will win,” Brady proclaimed.

The message certainly got its desired results for the entire Buccaneers squad as they were able to come out with a dominant performance against the Kansas City Chiefs. Fournette emerged as a key contributor to the win as he led the Bucs' ground attack and generated 89 rushing yards on 16 carries along with a scoring drive of his own.

Brady stayed true to his words as he was at the forefront of his team's attack against the Kansas City Chiefs. The veteran quarterback finished with 201 passing yards and three touchdowns on 21-of-29 pass completions.

Apart from their offense, the Bucs' defense also had a huge showing against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Linebacker Devin White recorded eight total tackles and an interception. Defensive end Ndamukong Suh generated 1.5 sacks, while linebacker Shaquil Barrett produced a sack of his own.

With an all-around performance from the team, Brady and the Buccaneers came away with a 31-9 victory on their home turf. The victory marked only the second time in franchise history that the Tampa-based squad was able to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

After seeing how they concluded their first season together with flying colors, Leonard Fournette and his teammates will certainly want to run it back and will look to defend their Super Bowl title next season.
