The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to position themselves as one of the key contenders to win the Super Bowl once again. It was reported earlier on Friday that future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady was restructuring his contract. The Buccaneers QB has agreed to the restructure that will open up $9 million in cap space ahead of next week's NFL Draft.

Also on Friday, Tampa Bay signed three-year veteran defensive tackle Deadrin Senat.

Buccaneers former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is still an unrestricted free agent. He has openly expressed his interest to return to the Buccaneers, but his salary expectations might be too much for Tampa Bay to handle. However, it's possible that Brady restructuring his deal allows for the Buccaneers to acquiesce his request.

Either way, Tampa Bay is always looking for strength on the defensive line. Senat played the first three years of his career with the Atlanta Falcons after being drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He had a solid rookie season, appearing in 15 games and racking up 30 tackles. But over the last two years, he has barely seen the field dealing with numerous injuries.

Senat is expected to battle for a backup role with the Buccaneers in 2022. He is very familiar with Raymond James Stadium. He played college football for USF there and was named to the all-conference team twice. If he can stay healthy this season, Senat could see valuable snaps on the defensive line. That's even more true if Suh does not return to the Buccaneers.
