The Tampa Bay Buccaneers remain optimistic about the status of wide receiver Mike Evans as they face off against the Chicago Bears on Thursday.

According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Evans should be good to go against Chicago if everything goes well during his pregame workout:

To be clear, Evans suiting up for Thursday's matchup is anything but a certainty at this point. He has officially been listed as questionable, and as the report above indicates, how he fares in the workout will determine if he will be able to play or not. Evans has been struggling with leg injuries throughout the season, as he has been dealing with hamstring and ankle issues for what feels like every single game.

After falling to the New Orleans Saints in their season opener, the Buccaneers have put together three straight wins, bringing up their tally to 3-1 to start the season. They sure could use a healthy Evans to keep their winning streak going.

Fellow wide receiver Scotty Miller will reportedly be available for Tampa Bay on Thursday, so at the very least, the Buccaneers won't be completely shorthanded if Evans is unavailable to play. Chris Godwin has already been ruled out, so it would certainly be a boost if Evans is able to join Miller on the field.

Life is only going to be tougher from here on out for the Buccaneers, as they are slated to take on an undefeated Green Bay Packers next weekend, who themselves are going to be coming off a bye week.
