Although Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans was not available for the team's dress rehearsal against the Cleveland Browns, it appears they have since been able to welcome him back into the mix.

Evans had been sidelined with a quad injury he suffered in practice, but he's now back:

This is certainly an encouraging sign for Evans. The Bucs were optimistic that he would be good to go by the start of the 2019 NFL season. His return definitely puts him on track for their opener against the San Francisco 49ers.

While Evans was able to make his return, it is safe to assume Tampa Bay is still taking a cautious approach with his recovery. He has long served as the No. 1 option in the passing game for the Bucs, and his impact could be even more prevalent this year with all the turnover they experienced in their receiving corps.

Tampa Bay lost some serious firepower with the departure of wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Adam Humphries this offseason. Chris Godwin will play a big role, but Evans will be expected to serve as a stabilizing factor for this offense while he presumably sees an increase in his target share. This may seem far-fetched given the massive workload the two-time Pro Bowler has taken on over the years, however, it is certainly feasible given his status as one of the most productive pass-catchers in the league.
