The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh to a one-year deal just over a week ago, and the veteran is hoping to bring a smashmouth presence to the Buccaneers' defensive front in 2019.

“An aggressive, very intense force of change on the line of scrimmage,” Suh said as far as what he will bring to the table, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. “Break records as I did in Detroit, I played at a very high level in Miami as well as LA, I’ve gone to the Super Bowl, unfortunately we didn’t win, but I’ve been through the gamut, so being able to bring that experience.”

Suh spent the 2018 campaign with the Los Angeles Rams, totaling 59 tackles, 4.5 sacks, a couple of fumble recoveries, and four passes defended in helping the Rams reach the Super Bowl. He and Aaron Donald were a terrific tandem up front, but Los Angeles opted not to bring Suh back, instead spending that money to solve defensive issues elsewhere.

The 32-year-old remained unsigned for quite some time before the Buccaneers released fellow defensive tackle Gerald McCoy earlier this month. A few days later, Tampa Bay inked Suh.

Suh, who played his collegiate football at the University of Nebraska, was originally selected by the Detroit Lions with the second overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft.

He spent the first five seasons of his career with the Lions, making four Pro Bowl appearances before signing a monster deal with the Miami Dolphins in 2015. However, Suh was a massive disappointment in Miami and was cut after three seasons. He then signed with the Rams.
