The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are loaded on the offensive side of the ball, but they could be without one of their key pass-catchers. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, OJ Howard has suffered an Achilles injury versus the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

OJ Howard sustained the injury late in the fourth quarter and was unable to return to the game for the Buccaneers. Of course, when it comes to an Achilles injury, the initial concern is a torn Achilles.

UPDATE: Howard will be out for the season with this injury.

Before the injury on Sunday, OJ Howard has caught 11 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns through the first four games. The former first-round pick has seemingly gotten more comfortable with Tom Brady as the season has progressed.

A point of consolation for Tampa Bay is that the Buccaneers are deep at the tight end position.

Besides OJ Howard, Tampa Bay also has Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate available at tight end. Not to mention, once Chris Godwin returns from injury, they'll have a wide receiver corps that features Mike Evans and Scotty Miller.

Without a doubt, we all hope that OJ Howard is able to make a full recovery and be back for the 2021 season, with Tom Brady still in the fold in Tampa throwing passes to him, as was the case on Sunday in a wild win over the Chargers.
