Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Rob Gronkowski is mulling the decision to return for a 12th season in the NFL. And as of right now if he had to make a call on if he's retiring or continuing to play, Gronk would certainly hang them up.

Per TMZ Sports:

“If they're like, ‘Rob, you've got to decide right now, right this second if you're playing next year,' I would say no right now,” Gronk said. “I would be like, ‘No, I'm not playing.'”

“If I had an answer right now,” Gronk said, “it would be no.”

However, the Buccaneers tight end did acknowledge that his decision could change in a matter of weeks once he gets the chance to heal and recover:

“I just want to heal completely, see where my thoughts are from there,” Gronk said. “Just let things settle down — got to just heal a little bit. Fix all the bumps and bruises.”

To be honest, it's hard to imagine Gronkowski returning to the Buccaneers if Tom Brady does in fact call it quits. He was the whole driving force behind Gronk actually coming to Tampa in the first place. Seeing one without the other just wouldn't feel right.

But, Rob Gronkowski has lots of time to decide what his next move is. For now, he'll focus on getting his body right.
