Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera has become a staple of the NFC South division over the years while even leading his franchise to a Super Bowl appearance not too long ago.

Now welcoming a newcomer — one with some serious head coaching experience under his belt — to the divisional fold, Rivera has faith that former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians will bring quite a bit to the table while at the helm of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“I think what he does is, and you saw what he did in Arizona, that’s a very dynamic offensive attack,” Rivera recently said, via Ira Kaufman of JoeBucsFan.com. “I know that they shored up their defensive staff as well. So I think he’s going to bring a lot to the table.”

With the Buccaneers quickly traveling to the cellar of the NFC South division over the years, the Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, and New Orleans Saints have continued to impress on a national stage. However, Arians has no doubt been brought aboard the ship to turn things around in a hurry in Tampa Bay with the franchise failing to pick up any steam whatsoever under the direction of former head coach Dirk Koetter.

It is also worth noting, though, that Arians did not coach at the NFL level last season. After leaving the desert and making his exit in Arizona, Arians remained on the sideline in 2018-19 before ultimately coming out of retirement to take on the challenges that await him in Tampa Bay.
