The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced off in Week 1. New Orleans ended up getting the better of Tampa Bay and now Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has made some comments on the battle.

Specifically, Sanders spoke about quarterback Tom Brady. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, those comments were a pretty brutal jab.

“I don’t know, it just didn’t feel like it was Tom Brady out there,” Saints receiver Emmanuel Sanders said on Uninterrupted’s 17 Weeks podcast on SiriusXM/Pandora. “That’s just how I feel. Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, it didn’t feel like Tom Brady was out there, it just felt like it was versus the Buccaneers. And that’s no diss to Tom. That’s just how I felt. It didn’t feel like it was Tom Brady out there. Now, you put Tom Brady in a New England Patriots uniform, that feels more like Tom Brady out there. And I guess it’s an adjustment for the entire world, you know?”

Obviously, Sanders has a lot of respect for Brady. That much is evident in the comments. However, it appears that the wide receiver doesn't think this is the same version of the (future) Hall of Fame quarterback.

You could argue that the main point of the comments from Sanders is that Brady in a Tampa Bay jersey simply does not look right. That's all he's really trying to say here.

That being said, a lot of people have made comments that Brady does not look the same this year. It's only been one game, but plenty of people feel like the quarterback already looks like a shell of himself.

This is a narrative that we see with Brady quite often. People think his game has declined, but he tends to prove them wrong. So, it will be interesting to see if he can do that here again.

For now though, Sanders does not think it looks right. Whether he is simply saying it has to do with the jersey Brady's wearing or the product he put on the field—we'll have to wait and see.
