SportsLine does not like the chances of Philip Rivers returning to the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020. In fact, the Chargers have just the fifth-best odds to have him under center for next season.

And the team SportsLine is giving the top odds of signing Rivers? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins are second through fourth, respectively.

The Buccaneers may certainly be in the market for a new quarterback this offseason, as Jameis Winston is a free agent, and Tampa Bay seems split on whether or not it should bring him back.

Rivers is coming off of a pedestrian 2019 campaign in which he threw for 4,615 yards, 23 touchdowns and 20 interceptions while completing 66 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 88.5, good for one of the worst seasons of his career.

It also marked the first time Rivers did not make the Pro Bowl since 2015.

Of course, the 38-year-old was originally selected by the New York Giants with the fourth overall pick of the 2004 NFL Draft, but was immediately traded to the Chargers for Eli Manning.

While Manning went on to win two Super Bowls with the Giants, Rivers has hardly had the same success with the Bolts, failing to make it past the AFC Championship Game.

That being said, Rivers has been a fine quarterback for the Chargers since becoming the full-time starter in 2006, making eight Pro Bowls and starting every game since then.

Los Angeles went just 5-11 this year, while Tampa Bay went 7-9.
