The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were forced to put another key element to their success on the COVID-19 list earlier this week. Head coach Bruce Arians tested positive for the virus on Tuesday and spent the week quarantining. Assistant head coach and run-game coordinator Harold Goodwin took over in practice and was prepared to act as the interim head coach on Sunday against the New York Jets.

However, that will not be necessary. The Buccaneers announced on Saturday that Arians will be with his team at MetLife on Sunday.

Along with Arians, Wide Receivers Coach Kevin Garver will join the team Sunday afternoon. Garver tested positive for the virus on Monday, following the Buccaneers' dominating win over the Carolina Panthers.

The Buccaneers are also hopeful to get some reinforcements on defense ahead of the Sunday afternoon game. Cornerbacks Jamel Dean and Sean Murphy-Bunting joined Tampa Bay's COVID-19 list with Arians on Tuesday and activated off of it on Saturday. According to the release from the team, Dean and Murphy-Bunting will not travel to New Jersey with the team on Saturday but could play Sunday. They are currently listed as questionable for Week 17 after being moved from the COVID-19 list to the injury report on Saturday.
