The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be heading to a tough matchup against the New Orleans Saints in the NFC divisional round. However, Drew Brees and the Saints now have the advantage that Tom Brady previously enjoyed for two decades with the New England Patriots, per NFL‘s James Palmer.

Back in Foxborough, Brady used to work with the Patriots' coaching staff for the past two decades. The countless games that they had planned for together presented them the opportunity to see various in-game situations against different opponents. It helped them make the right reads when a similar situation arises, most especially in the playoffs.

Having continuity certainly served as an advantage for Brady the Patriots as they went through 17 trips to the postseason and won six Super Bowl titles along the way. However, it won't be the same for Brady this season as he now journeys to the postseason with the Buccaneers' coaching staff he's had no previous experience with.

Meanwhile, the Saints now hold the advantage of continuity against Brady and the new-look Buccaneers squad. Quarterback Drew Brees and head coach Sean Payton is currently in their 14th season together, having led the team to nine playoff appearances and a Super Bowl title back in 2009.

After playing in the league for several years already, both Brees and Brady are no longer strangers to one another. At the end of the day, the player who can make the best decisions on the field will certainly give his team the upper hand to win the all-important game.

Both teams will tussle for a seat in the NFC Championship Game on Jan. 17 at Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
