The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Quarterback Tom Brady has been announced as Sports Illustrated 2021 Sportsperson of the year. This is yet another accolade that Brady will add to his big trophy case.

He has been the main reason for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' success as he has carried the team and looks to be the MVP favorite. What Brady is able to do at 44 years old is nothing short of impressive. He's currently playing the best football of his career at almost 45 years old. On the season, he's already thrown for 3,771 yards and has 34 touchdowns.

The Buccaneers look like a team that is going to possibly win another Super Bowl title. They have been about the only consistent team in all of the NFL as most other teams have shown struggles throughout the season. Tampa Bay is currently 9-3 on the season and has the second-best record in football behind the Arizona Cardinals.

Tom Brady was also able to win a Super Bowl title in 2021 which most certainly helped him win the award. Many others believe that Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks or Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels would have been two people who deserve the award. While both of those players were most certainly deserving of the award, there's no denying that Tom Brady was also deserving of this award as he's doing this at a much older age than both of those two superstars.
