Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians still feels excited about going to work in the NFL. To make things clear about his future and perhaps help clarify his stance about lingering talks of retirement, Arians told Pewter Report Podcast recently, that not even Tom Brady's future will have any impact on whatever decisions he'd make with regards to his NFL career down the road.

“Oh yeah, that’s the plan. I don’t have any plans on retiring,” Arians said. “It’s just, when do I not want to go back to work? When I’m not excited about going back to work then I’m cheating somebody. I’m cheating the Glazer family, I’m cheating my players. Right now I can’t wait to get back to work. I don’t know when that’s going to happen, but no, I’m not tied to any players.”

It's not hard to see why people would surmise that the Buccaneers head coach's retirement decision in the future could be partly affected by Tom Brady. After all, it was Brady who helped deliver Arians his first Super Bowl win after Tampa Bay defeated Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 55.

Arians has all the reasons in the world to keep going. Among those is his goal of helping the Buccaneers become back-to-back Super Bowl champions, a feat that has never been done in the NFL since…Uhm… Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Super Bowls 38 and 39 (2003-04).

The Buccaneers will open the 2021 NFL season with a home game against the Dallas Cowboys in September.
