Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady openly mocked the Dallas Cowboys after the official 2021 NFL schedule has been released.

The Buccaneers will face the Cowboys in their season opener on September 9, during which they will also be raising their championship banner after a 2020 campaign that saw Brady defy the odds and lead his team to the Super Bowl title.

However, despite what seems to be a high-profile matchup, Brady doesn't seem to be tooo excited about the showdown. In fact, one can say he showed blatant disrespect to the Cowboys with his latest IG story.

“9/9 can't come soon enough. Excited to open against ‘America's Team,” the Buccaneers star wrote  on Instagram  along with the Wandavision wink gif.

Sure enough, Tom Brady didn't even try to hide the sarcasm in his post. However, as the winningest QB over the last two decades, he has every right to question the nickname that the Cowboys have long held.

While Dallas remains the most valuable sports franchise and boasts a massive fan base, that is all there is to it. Simply put, the Cowboys have leaned on their success in the past without showing and performing so much in the present. The team has made eight Super Bowls and won five, but the last time they did it was in 1995–that's a 25-year gap to today!

On the other hand, Brady has absolutely dominated the past decades. After winning the 2001 Super Bowl with the New England Patriots, he went on to win six more, with the latest coming right after he joined the Buccaneers.

Hopefully, the Cowboys see Brady's comments and fuel them to play better come the opening of the season. Hey, who doesn't want a good, classic showdown between the GOAT and the so-called “America's Team,” right?
