After spending the first 20 years of his career with the New England Patriots, Tom Brady has finally moved on to a different team in the 2020 NFL season: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Though Brady will play the season at the ripe old age of 43, it seems likely that the living legend has plenty left in the tank, and he’s already getting Bucs fans excited by what he’s telling the media:

“Ultimately, my goal is to go out there and do what I’ve always done, (which) is to be best the best I can possibly be for the team,” Brady said during a video conference call. “Mentally I feel like I have all the ability. … There’s no play I haven’t run, there’s no defense I haven’t seen. It’s just physically are you still able to execute your job. I’m very fortunate to still be able to do that.”

Certainly, Tom Brady knows his way around an opposing defense as he has amassed an impressive three MVP awards, 14 Pro Bowl appearances and a staggering 6 Super Bowl wins during the course of his storied career.

Brady’s presence will likely make the Bucs one of the biggest storylines of the 2020 season, especially after the Pats were ousted in their first playoff game last season against the Tennessee Titans.

Tom Terrific will surely want to exorcise that fresh wound with the Bucs by forging ahead with a lengthy playoff run. If his remarks are any indication – he’s ready to pick up right where he left off.
