Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady joined in the April Fool's Day fun by threatening to shift to baseball not just as a player, but also as a coach and an owner.

Peep Brady's tweet below, complete with a realistic photo. Brady even said he'll be the “first” player/coach/owner in MLB history with this move. Perhaps he's aware of the critics and haters who constantly tell him to retire and take a rest because he's getting older by the day.

Of course, fans were quick to pick up that Brady was onto something. April first is the day of jokes. No one should take things seriously on this day.

But for those unaware, the Montreal Expos — back when they still existed — actually drafted Tom Brady straight out of high school as an 18th-round pick. A combination of things such as the 1994 baseball strike and the fact that Brady opted to play football in Michigan prevented the seven-time Super Bowl champ from pursuing a baseball career.

As the saying goes, jokes are half meant. The Expos are now known as the Washington Nationals. But Brady, together with his supermodel and businesswoman wife Gisele Bundchen, has enough money and clout to tell the MLB to expand to more teams. Yes, it's April Fool's day, but who knows? Maybe Brady is already working on his post-football career.

Whatever the case may be, Tom Brady seems to be enjoying himself this offseason. He deserves every second of it. He's known as the greatest of all time.
