Just before 2:30 p.m. EST Saturday, a report came out that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was retiring. The report came from ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington and ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

The Buccaneers news took the sports world by storm, until a statement from Brady's agent began circulating. Senior NFL reporter Albert Breer tweeted the message Saturday afternoon. Agent Don Yee's quote has a 2:43 p.m. EST timestamp, just 14 minutes after the original report.

Yee's quote completely contradicts the ESPN report, which allegedly came from “multiple sources.” According to his agent, the Buccaneers quarterback “will be the only person to express his plans with complete accuracy.”

Another report claims that Brady contacted Buccaneers GM Jason Licht to tell him that he hasn't made a decision on his future career plans.

Everyone (besides Brady) is completely confused and unsure what to believe regarding the legendary quarterback's future in the NFL. But, according to his agent, it sounds like no report will be completely accurate until it comes from Brady himself.

If Brady is retiring, he will have completed 22 seasons in the NFL, winning seven Super Bowls between two different franchises. The legendary quarterback will forever be remembered as a household name, and one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play in the National Football League.
