Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians gave some glowing recommendations of his quarterback Jameis Winston, the free agent former first-overall pick due for a new team following the Tom Brady signing.

The coach didn't shy off compliments, praising Winston's work ethic and his attitude:

“I’ve called a couple teams,” Arians told Rich Eisen, via ProFootballTalk. “You’re going to get one of the hardest workers you’ve ever had and a great young man. It didn’t work out for us only because Tom Brady was available and we had Teddy Bridgewater if that wouldn’t have worked out. We were going full steam ahead back with Jameis. He’s a great young man and no one is going to outwork him.”

That's about as much as the Buccaneers head coach can vouch for, considering Winston has proven to be a turnover machine in 2019.

The 26-year-old threw a career-high 33 touchdowns and amassed 5,109 passing yards in 2019, but he also threw a whopping 30 interceptions—enough reason for the coaching staff to look for a new QB.

Arians and the Bucs will move on from Winston, but if he does find another home, it will likely be as a backup. Many NFL teams are concerned about Winston's viability as a starter, considering he's turnover prone and his decision-making in the pocket needs vast improvement.
