Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski have always maintained a tremendous relationship, both on and off the field.

That includes making jokes at each other's expense.

Usually, it is ā€œGronkā€ who carries himself with more of an easygoing and humorous sort of vibe. But it was Brady who brought the jokes with an impression of Gronkowski during Thursday's media session.

Brady hilariously mimicked Gronk's intonations during a story about a workout the two held prior to a Gronkowski photoshoot.

The synergy Brady and Gronkowski have off the field frequently carried over to the gridiron, though that was not quite as evident at the start of the 2020 season for the Buccaneers.

Gronkowski had just two catches in a Week 1 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The All-Pro tight end then had only one target and zero receptions in Week 2.

Although the former Arizona product had a high snap count, he was mostly being utilized as an extra pass blocker. But that has since changed rather significantly.

Gronkowski gradually became a bigger piece of the passing game. He had receiving touchdowns in three straight games between Week 6 and Week 8 and, after a mini-slump, busted out for six catches and 106 yards receiving in a Week 12 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 31-year-old has seen an inconsistent target share lately with the Buccaneers, collecting 11 combined targets and six receptions in the last three weeks, though he did score a pair of touchdowns in last weekend's win over the Detroit Lions.

Still, Brady knows he can go to Gronk when he needs a big play. That comes from years of chemistry building and on-field repsā€¦plus some off-field chiding.
