Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez made a career high eight three's against the Denver Nuggets Sunday night.

Due to the fact he is seven feet tall and can hit threes, there is a new nickname going around for Lopez, which is “Splash Mountain.”

It seems like Lopez is OK with the nickname.

Lopez is shooting 41.9 percent from three this season, which is the highest in his career.

Early on in his career, Lopez did not shoot the three at all, if he did, it was very rare. With the Nets, he attempted few three's. In fact, Between the seasons of 2008-2013, he was 0-7.

He didn't hit his first career three until the 2014 season. For the first time in his career, in his last season with the Nets, which was in 2016, he attempted over 300 three's and made over 100 of them.

He certainly is not known for his three point shooting. He is more known as a mid-range, post up player. However, with the NBA changing and centers needing to his three's, he has taken the next step in his game.

So far this season, Lopez is 39-for-93 from three season. Lopez has had the right to earn the nickname, “Splash Mountain” as he is starting to become a more consistent three point shooter late in his career.

He has helped the Bucks to a 10-3 on the season.
