Milwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez believes in superheroes. That can be the only explanation as to why the 7-footer has not only not been scared of the prospect of being bitten by a bat, but it appears that he's ready to embrace it.

Lopez has previously commented on how he believes that being bitten by a bat — and not just specifically the ones that have a habit of swooping around Spurs games — would increase his chances of gaining superpowers. That, or a strand of the rabies virus, but it appears that Lopez is willing to take the bad with the good.

Milwaukee, on the other hand, is likely fine with Lopez playing like his mortal self and not running the risk. The big man logged his second double-double of the season during Sunday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs, clearly motivated by the presence of the bats, whom he can thank for his highest single-game rebounding total since Jan. 21.

The Bucks have spent most of the 2018-19 season steamrolling their competition, sitting at 50-17 on the year through play Sunday. But they have dropped three of their last five contests and three in a row away from home. Fortunately, they boast the league's best record and will enjoy home-court advantage come playoff time.

As for Brook Lopez, his career tweak continues in 2018-19, fully committing himself to his life behind the 3-point line. Lopez has averaged 6.4 three-point attempts per contest this season, a far cry from the 31 attempts he took from deep over his first eight seasons combined.
