After having the best record in the NBA last season, Brook Lopez says the Milwaukee Bucks have “that confidence that we can compete with anyone.”

Now that Kawhi Leonard is in the Western Conference, many believe the Bucks will win the Eastern Conference next season. Milwaukee lost to Leonard and the Toronto Raptors in six games in the 2019 Eastern Conference Finals after taking a 2-0 series lead.

Lopez says the Bucks aren't cocky, but just believe in themselves because of all the hard work the players are putting in this summer.

“Oh, we have the same confidence (as last season). It’s not cockiness or brashness or anything like that. It’s just a belief in each other, a belief in us and a belief in our system,” Lopez told Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype. “We’re putting forth the work each and every day, so we have that confidence that we can compete with anyone.”

The Bucks have the reigning MVP in Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is surely going to get better moving forward. Milwaukee re-signed Brook Lopez, George Hill and Khris Middleton, and made some nice additions in free agency by signing Kyle Korver and Wesley Matthews.

The loss of Malcolm Brogdon will hurt, but it just gives other guys on the Bucks a chance to step up to the plate.
