Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is also the co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, won it big on Tuesday after they secured Giannis Antetokounmpo with a supermax extension.

In an interview with the Pat McAfee Show soon after the deal was announced, Rodgers clearly looked like a happy man. He believes the Bucks' offseason moves helped convince Antetokounmpo to sign the five-year, $228 million deal, the most lucrative contract in NBA history.

“It's a big signing for us. We're pretty ecstatic, I guess he is too, I would assume. This is conjecture, but I know he was interested in what the roster turnover was going to be. Made some moves in the off-season, brought in some players. I guess he is happy with them so far.”

The Bucks got pretty busy this offseason, entering a four-team deal with the Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans, and the Oklahoma City Thunder to acquire All-Star guard Jrue Holiday and let go of Eric Bledsoe and George Hill. They also beefed up their roster by signing the likes of Bryn Forbes, Bobby Portis, and DJ Augustin.

Aside from the revamp, Rodgers also reminded one little fact about Antetokounmpo that bodes well for the Bucks.

“We got that man back. And he's still 26 (years old).”

Prior to the signing, not a few analysts felt that Giannis Antetokounmpo was bound to leave the Bucks next season. After all, they have failed to replicate their regular season success in the NBA Playoffs for the last few years, and it's pretty normal for superstars like the reigning two-time MVP to seek a fresh start elsewhere.

Well, the Greek Freak is staying.
