Milwaukee Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe is likely to make his return on Monday night against the Chicago Bulls after missing the last eight games due to a fractured fibula:

Bledsoe suffered an avulsion fracture after colliding with teammate Wesley Matthews during a game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Dec. 13, but it appears that he will return after just over two weeks. The 30-year-old was averaging 15.0 points, 5.7 assists and 4.9 rebounds through his first 26 games.

The Bucks went 6-2 in Bledsoe's absence, with the likes of Donte DiVincenzo having some success at the point guard spot. That said, his return only serves to bolster Milwaukee's backcourt depth, particularly given the strong play of backup guard George Hill.

Giannis Antetokounmpo also remains banged up for the Bucks, who still managed to defeat the Orlando Magic on Saturday night behind 21 points from Khris Middleton and a big double-double from veteran forward Ersan Ilyasova.

Bledsoe signed a four-year extension with the Bucks–who acquired him from the Phoenix Suns at the start of the 2017-18 season–after Bledsoe established himself as a crucial two-way player in Milwaukee's rotation.

Though he is not asked to score nearly as much as he was with the Suns, Bledsoe is a capable midrange scorer, and he routinely takes on the toughest guards in the league.

Bledsoe also allows Antetokounmpo to operate on the ball, and his ability to push the pace in transition makes the Bucks–the top-scoring offense in the NBA–that much more dangerous.

This season, Bledsoe is averaging 15 points, 4.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists in 26.7 minutes per game for the Bucks, while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 34.4 percent from three-point range.

The Bucks will aim to be the first team to 30 wins on Monday night in Chicago.
