Milwaukee Bucks point guard George Hill is a certified dog lover. No question, he would certainly do anything if he ever encounters a dog in trouble.

In fact, Hill once actually saved former teammate Paul George's dog after the critter fell in a lake. ESPN's Malika Andrews detaills the story below:

George Hill is demanding to know how this story got told. It's true, he said. He did, in fact, jump into a chilly lake to save Paul George's drowning dog a few years ago.

It was back when Hill and George were teammates on the Indiana Pacers. As both a self-identified “fix it” guy and an animal lover, Hill just had to jump in after the pooch when he saw it struggling to keep its head above water.

Nevertheless, it wasn't an easy task for the veteran as it's fair to say he didn't seem to enjoy the water that much.

“I'm just mad the water was so damn cold,” Hill said.

Speaking of saving, Hill has been a saviour for this Bucks squad in these NBA playoffs.

Hill, who came from the Cleveland Cavaliers in a trade in early December, seems to have drank from the fountain of youth. The 33-year old guard currently looks like his old crafty and athletic self during his prime.

Hill went scoreless and missed all of his six shot attempts in their Game 1 win over the Toronto Raptors, but still contributed four assists and four steals. Hill bounced back in the Bucks' 125-103 with a solid 13-point game (5-of-8 shooting).

Over the last six games dating back to their Game 2 win against Boston andnot counting his Game 1 dud in these Eastern Conference Finals, Hill has been spectacular off the Bucks bench. Over that span sans Game 1, Hill is averaging 15 points per game for Milwaukee while shooting at a blistering 61.7 percent from the field.
