The Milwaukee Bucks rewarded Eric Bledsoe with a four-year, $70 million extension on Friday for his impressive performance this season that helped the team hold onto the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

Bledsoe is currently averaging 15.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game this season, establishing himself as the Bucks' third option on offense.

For All-Star teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo, however, Bledsoe's contributions for Milwaukee is more than just about stats and numbers.

“He's a little guy. But he's got a big heart,” Giannis told Malika Andrews of ESPN.

“It certainly takes a lot of guts for him to say that [the Boston series was his fault]. But it's always a team effort. All we wanted for Eric was to build winning habits, and I think he's done a great job doing that.”

After his disappointing stint with the Phoenix Suns, it seems that Eric Bledsoe is fitting in well with the Bucks, and that has allowed the team to take a huge leap from just a playoff team last year to a championship contender this season.

Now that Bledsoe is part of the Bucks' long-term future, the team can now focus on Khris Middleton's looming free agency. Should they end up re-signing him as well, Milwaukee will have a dependable core that can contend and win titles in the next few years.

Bledsoe has found a home in Milwaukee, and Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks are more than welcome to seeing him stay long-term with the franchise.
