Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is apparently taking the necessary first steps to venture into the world of online sports betting. According to multiple reports, the reigning Most Valuable Player winner has just applied for a trademark on his moniker, “Greek Freak,” for the specific purpose of “providing a website for online gambling.”

David Fucillo of Draft Kings Nation provides a more technical definition of what exactly Giannis and his camp applied for:

Entertainment services, namely, providing a website for on-line gambling; Entertainment services, namely, providing an on-line computer game; Entertainment services, namely, providing games of chance via the Internet; Entertainment services, namely, providing online electronic games; Gaming services in the nature of online games, e-games, virtual reality games, and video games,; Providing on-line computer games

It appears that the 25-year-old has every intention of capitalizing on the highly profitable business of sports betting. While this form of entertainment is considered legal in specific states in the country, to some it still holds somewhat of a negative stigma.

Nonetheless, there's little reason to criticize Giannis for this. Sports gambling is a massive business that will only continue to grow once sports actually return, so it makes sense for the Bucks star to get involved in this venture.

For now, though, Antetokounmpo needs to get to the bottom of the hacking of his Twitter account, among other personal accounts of his.
