The Milwaukee Bucks decided prior to Sundayā€™s game that their stars were not going to play. They were going to let fate decide where they finish in the eastern conference. In doing so, Milwaukee was without superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Fellow star Jrue Holiday played a couple seconds of the game and hilariously took a foul, and left the game for good. That few seconds pocketed Holiday over $300,000. But I digress.

With Antetokounmpo in street clothes, he was a spectator like everyone else. He treated that way too. The Bucks growing legend was seen taking popcorn from a fan, and then offering it to a referee.

Antetokounmpo has always been lauded for his personality, and that was never more apparent than in this moment. As it turned out, he should have been all smiles anyway.

The Bucks entered the day in the #2 spot in the eastern conference. That is not an envious spot to be in. If the Brooklyn Nets defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the play-in tournament, the Nets will face off against the #2 seed.

But, the Bucks benched their starters Sunday and got drubbed by the Cavaliers. Later in the evening, the Boston Celtics defeated the Memphis Grizzlies and jumped the Bucks in the standings. Milwaukee finished the regular season in the #3 seed because of it. They will host the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

The Bucks played the Bulls four times this season. Milwaukee won each matchup. Chicagoā€™s struggles against good teams have been well documented and the Bucks may just reep the benefits of it.
