Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo seems to be progressing positively from his knee injury and could very well suit up for the team when they play Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

According to head coach Mike Budenholzer, Antetokounmpo remains “day-to-day” due to the hyperextended left knee injury he suffered in Game 4 of the East Finals against the Atlanta Hawks. However, he added that Giannis was raring to play in Games 5 and 6, which is a positive sign for the Bucks.

For what it's worth, it has been reported earlier that the Bucks were planning to give Giannis Antetokounmpo the green light to play in Game 7 of the East Finals if the Hawks were able to win Game 6. Considering this and the fact that Milwaukee had plans of letting him play soon, it is likely he could suit up for the team by the time the NBA Finals start.

The Bucks still have two days left to let Giannis rest and do everything to get him to 100 percent health or close to it. Of course, they will be cautious of his injury to avoid reaggravating it, but there is no doubt they need the Greek Freak if they want to defeat Chris Paul and the hungry Suns in the final series of the 2021 playoffs.

Hopefully, fans get to see a Giannis showdown with Paul and Devin Booker right from the start of the Finals.
