Giannis Antetokounmpo came out with a statement performance in Game 1 of their second-round series against the Boston Celtics. The Bucks superstar dropped a mind-boggling triple-double as Milwaukee stole away the opening game on Boston's own home court.

After the game, ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins had some high praise for Giannis. According to the one-time NBA champ, the Bucks superstar is now looking like the second coming of LeBron James during his time with the Cavs:

“Right now, Giannis Antetokounmpo is giving me that LeBron James with the Cleveland Cavaliers vibes,” Perkins said, “meaning that any team that’s trying to come out of the Eastern Conference, I think Giannis is gonna be standing in their way.”

Perk isn't wrong here. Based on his performance in Game 1 alone, it is clear that the Celtics will need to try and hold down Giannis if they hope to progress to the Eastern Conference Finals. The same can be said for either the Miami Heat or the Philadelphia 76ers — the two teams that are also hoping to win it all in the East this year.

During his dominance with the Cavs, LeBron was the king in the East. Any team that had title aspirations had to go through him, and not too sides teams succeeded. At the moment, that title seems to belong to Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
