Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo had a monster Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns, going for 42 points in 40 minutes. However, Giannis didn't get enough help from his teammates in a 118-108 loss, with Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton combining to shoot 12-of-37 from the field.

It was Holiday's second straight dud to open these Finals. The Bucks guard shot 4-of-14 in Game 1 and 7-of-21 in Game 2, with a bunch of blown shots around the rim on Thursday night.

While Holiday was bad again offensively, Giannis isn't worried. The Bucks star still has all the confidence in the world in his teammate stepping up in this series.

Via ESPN's Tim Bontemps:

“Just keep talking to him, keep telling him to be aggressive,” Antetokounmpo said when asked what his message for Holiday would be heading into Game 3. “No matter what's going on, you've got to stay aggressive and you cannot get in your feelings. It's hard not to. You know, NBA Finals, 20,000 people booing you and all that, it's kind of hard.

“But at the end of the day, it's not about me. It's not about him. It's not about Khris [Middleton]. It's not about Coach. It's about all of us. … If there's a game that you're 3-for-12 or whatever the case might be and you can rebound the ball or get a steal or do something else to help the team win, that's what it's all about right now. I think he understands that.

“I know he's going to be there when we need him the most and I don't worry about it. He's a great basketball player. He's played great all year and he's going to continue to play great for this team.”

The Bucks traded a monster haul for Holiday to be an upgrade over Eric Bledsoe, but Jrue's playoff statistics this season are eerily similar to Bledsoe's when he was in Milwaukee. While Holiday still makes an impact in other areas of the game, the Bucks simply need him to shoot better. Holiday has had his moments in these playoffs, including when Giannis went down against the Atlanta Hawks, but he hasn't been good enough to start the NBA Finals.

Antetokounmpo clearly still has faith in Holiday, though, and perhaps he'll be more comfortable at home in Game 3. The Bucks did get a bit unlucky in Game 2, so they'll look to turn the tables on the Suns on Sunday.
