Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo indicated to reporters on Christmas he was dealing with a sore back.

Giannis still has a sore back and won't play on Friday against the Atlanta Hawks:

Antetokounmpo struggled on Christmas against the Philadelphia 76ers. The reigning MVP shot 8-of-27 from the field and 0-of-7 from beyond the arc. The Bucks lost to the Sixers by 12 points.

Overall on the season, Giannis is averaging 30.5 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.7 assists. The Bucks star is shooting 55.4 percent from the floor, 32.7 percent from the 3-point line and 59.7 percent from the charity stripe.

The Bucks still have the best record in the NBA despite their Christmas loss. Milwaukee is 27-5.

The Hawks are the worst team in the NBA record-wise. The Bucks should be able to easily defeat Atlanta even without Giannis. The Hawks are only 6-25 on the season.

Milwaukee fans are hoping Giannis’ back gets better moving forward. The Bucks play again on Saturday against the Orlando Magic at home. Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer will update the status of Antetokounmpo accordingly.

Most pundits have Milwaukee and the Sixers meeting in the Eastern Conference Finals. That would be a fun seven-game series to watch, especially since Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid are two of the best players in the NBA. Milwaukee will need starting point guard Eric Bledsoe back in the lineup if it wants to win the East. He's currently out with a leg injury.

Antetokounmpo's long-term health is the most important thing for Milwaukee, so you know the front office and medical staff will be careful with The Greek Freak moving forward.
