After losing the first two games of the 2021 NBA Finals, the Milwaukee Bucks have defeated the Phoenix Suns three times in a row to give themselves a chance to win the title on their home court Tuesday night. The Bucks haven't won an NBA championship since 1971, so it could be a very special night for Giannis Antetokounmpo, this franchise and their fans.
Giannis spoke to reporters Monday about his mindset heading into Game 6. It's absolutely perfect:
"As a team we gotta be disciplined. None of that until it's done. We can’t have any plans of celebrating. None of that, until it's done. That's the mindset I'm gonna have until tomorrow."

Giannis has had a ton of great quotes throughout this series, and this is the right mindset to have as Milwaukee looks to finish off Phoenix. This series isn't over until it's over, and Antetokounmpo knows these last two games easily could have gone in the other direction. The Suns aren't going to go down without a fight, so the Bucks need to play smart and play hard in order to finish the job.
If Milwaukee does wind up winning it all, Giannis is going to win Finals MVP. He's having an absolutely monster series, highlighted by several clutch plays on both ends of the floor. Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday have had their moments as well, but this Finals MVP should belong to Giannis if the Bucks wind up being champions.
It would be really special for Giannis to finally become coronated as an NBA champ after putting his faith in the franchise last offseason by signing the supermax deal. We'll see if he and the Bucks can get the job done.
