Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo ended his team's first-round series matchup against the Detroit Pistons in style, scoring a game-high 41 points on Monday night. The 24-year-old led the Bucks to a 127-104 blowout win in Game 4 of the series, as Milwaukee completed a first-round sweep against the eighth-seeded Pistons.

Following the big win, Giannis could not help but reflect on how far his journey has taken him ever since he made his first postseason appearance:

“I remember our first playoff series we lost to Chicago in the last game, Game 6, they beat us by 50 (actually 54),” Antetokounmpo said, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic. “It was something insane, but where we were and where we are now, it’s been an unbelievable journey. I think the organization has done a great job just pushing us towards the right direction and we’re just going to keep enjoying the moment.”

That 54-point beatdown is not something anyone can easily erase from their memory, and this particular wound runs deep in Antetokounmpo. However, he has used this as motivation to better himself, and as made obvious by this season, Giannis has done an excellent job in learning from his past failures.

The Bucks will now face off against the Boston Celtics in the second round, with the C's also coming off a series sweep against the Indiana Pacers. We're definitely in for a tremendous series and can fully expect Antetokounmpo to be in his usual best as he hopes to get past Kyrie Irving and company.
