Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid previously declared that he is the best player in the world. Ideally, those remarks might not sit well with the NBA's reigning MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo of the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks.

After the Antetokounmpo's Bucks bludgeoned Embiid's Sixers on Saturday night, reporters asked The Greek Freak to comment on The Process' bold claim. Antetokounmpo, however, did not fall for the media's antics.

“I know that you’re trying to do your job,” the Bucks star said via Steve Aschburner of NBA.com. “You want me to say something but it’s going to go viral and he’s going to see it, and then it’s going to be a battle.

Antetokounmpo also admitted that he is fond of Embiid off the court.

“But I feel like Joel is a great guy. Obviously, when I go on the court, I’m gonna go as hard as I can. But off the court, I like him. I like his personality. He’s a down-to-earth guy.”

The Bucks talent is obviously a warrior on the court and he will go at his opponents at full force. But off of it, he is one of the most friendly personalities out there. Likewise, it doesn't seem like he has any beef with Embiid. In fact, he did pick the 7-foot-1 Cameroonian as his first pick in this year's All-Star draft.

Antetokounmpo was in his usual MVP form in Milwaukee's 119-98 win over Philadelphia. He finished with 31 points on 12-of-17 shooting to go along with 17 rebounds and eight assists.

Embiid, on the one hand, was grounded by the Bucks defense. He scored just 17 points on a sour 5-of-18 night from the field.
