Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has returned to practice after missing a couple of games due to a knee injury, according to Eric Nehm of The Athletic.

The Bucks play the Boston Celtics on Thursday night, and his status for that game still seems to be in question at the moment:

Antetokounmpo underwent an MRI earlier this week, and it was revealed the he suffered a minor joint capsule sprain in his left knee, which is not too serious. The announcement said the reigning MVP would miss at least two games and then a decision would be made about his possible return.

In 57 games this season, the 25-year-old is averaging 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, one steal and one block over 30.9 minutes per game while shooting 54.7 percent from the floor, 30.6 percent from 3-point range and 63.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Antetokounmpo was originally selected by Milwaukee with the 15th overall pick of the 2013 NBA Draft.

He appeared in 77 contests during his rookie campaign, logging 6.8 points and 4.4 boards a night. After showing marked improvement in his second and third seasons, Antetokounmpo broke out in 2016-17, registering 22.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.6 steals across 35.6 minutes a night en route to his first All-Star appearance.

Antetokounmpo has made the All-Star team every year since, and last season, the man known as The Greek Freak officially stamped his name among the NBA's elite, winning the MVP award after recording 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 steals through 32.8 minutes per game.

Giannis also led the Bucks to the league's best record last year, which is something he is on track to do again this season.

Milwaukee is currently 53-12 and sits in first place in the Eastern Conference.
