After a long offseason of flirting with sneaker companies, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has signed a multi-year deal with Nike, the 22-year old announced on Instagram via ESPN's Nick DePaula.

The Greek Freak captioned a photo of himself with “Giannis X Nike,” following up with “Family. Loyalty. Legacy. Excited to announce my long-term partnership with @NikeBasketball.”

The Bucks forward had shown interest in Adidas and Chinese brand Li-Ning during the offseason, after his four-year contract with Nike had expired at the end of last season.

Antetokounmpo is hopeful to have his own signature sneaker by next season, and will now carry that under the same brand. He's worn the Nike Kobe A.D. signature line religiously, as well as the Kobe Xs throughout his last two seasons in the league.

These news come only minutes after the Bucks announced the proposed agreement to send forward/center Greg Monroe as well as a first and second-round picks to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for point guard Eric Bledsoe — a move that could make this team a lot more competitive after losing three straight games last week.

Antetokounmpo and fellow skilled big Kristaps Porzingis (who signed with Adidas last season) are expected to debut their own signature kicks at the start of the 2018-19 season.
