Giannis Antetokounmpo in a Milwaukee Bucks uniform for life? As long as he's a part of a “winning” team.

In an interview with ESPN published on Sunday, the reigning NBA MVP spoke about his desire to get better personally and help lead a team to win a championship.

Per Ohm Youngmisuk in ESPN:

“My goal is going to stay the same: It's get better, take it day by day, step by step, and the ultimate goal is to win a championship,” Antetokounmpo said. … “why not play for the Bucks 20 years, why not play 25 years? Why not, after playing, be a member of the coaching staff or a member of the front office? But we got to have the same goal. We got to have the same principles. … We got to focus on winning a championship.”

The 24-year-old also added that as long as Milwaukee is winning, there would be no reason to leave and instead he could be the team's franchise player for a long time, naming Stephen Curry, Dirk Nowitzki, Kobe Bryant, and Tim Duncan as examples he'd like to follow.

Antetokounmpo can be a free agency in the summer of 2021, where speculation has already developed about potential landing spots for the “Greak Freak.” People offered locations like the Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks, but at the moment that's nowhere close to Giannis' headspace, since he's focused on improving and winning a championship in Milwaukee.

Giannis averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game, playing in 72 contests and shooting 57.8% from the floor, 25.6% from long range, and 72.9% from the free throw line in his MVP season this past year.
