Milwaukee Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is on board for a radical idea to help commemorate Kobe Bryant's legacy.

After perishing in a helicopter crash on Sunday morning in Calabasas, California alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others on board, the former Los Angeles Lakers All-Star shooting guard has been advocated to be the new logo of the NBA. Retired Lakers guard Jerry West has been the silhouette of the league's logo since 1971. West is a former Lakers executive who even pushed to acquired Kobe on draft night in 1996.

Antetokounmpo, 25, clearly emotional on Monday as the sports world grieve's Bryant's passing, told reporters he saw the idea floating around to change the logo to Kobe. He called the idea “awesome” (via Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel).

Despite Antetokounmpo growing up in Greece, halfway around the world from the United States and Bryant's on-court accomplishments, the NBA's MVP from last season has still been touched by the impact of the future Hall of Famer. Bryant's influence on basketball for all players from all countries is incomprehensible. As even Antetokounpo, leading the Bucks to the best record in the league right now, can't help but agree to honor Kobe as the new logo.

Other ideas have been floated to commemorate the lifetime Laker's legacy. One of these ideas are players in the 2020 All-Star game next month wearing Nos. 8 and 24 per side. They were Bryant's two numbers worn during his twenty-year career with L.A. The Lakers retired both numbers just last year with Bryant in attendance at Staples Center.
