Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo dominated the Indiana Pacers to the tune of 50 points on a ridiculous 17-of-21 from the field in a 128-119 victory on Tuesday night. The 21 shots marked the fourth-fewest attempts in a 50-point game in NBA history (he went 14-of-18 from the foul line), and The Greek Freak also became the third player in history to record at least 50 points and 10 rebounds while hitting 80% from the field (Wilt Chamberlain and Karl Malone).
After the game, the Bucks star was happy with his individual accomplishment, but he stayed focused on his ultimate goal: winning.
“Obviously it's a nice feeling to have 50, you always remember it, but I care about winning,” he said. “I want to win games. Fifties, 40s, 30s all those things, accolades are going to come, but they only come with winning. If your main focus, your No. 1 thing is winning, you do whatever it takes to finish the game. Sometimes it's, shoot more. Sometimes you've got to defend more. Everything else comes, but if you're thinking about let me get 50, let me get mine, it doesn't work that way. You've always got to focus on winning.”

As Giannis said, the Bucks have one more game before the All-Star break. It's a high-profile affair against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night, though new Sixers star James Harden will still not be playing yet as he recovers from a hamstring injury.
After his 50-point night, The Greek Freak is now leading the NBA in scoring with 29.4 points per game, which is just ahead of Joel Embiid's 29.3 points per game. So, it's fitting these two MVP candidates will do battle in the final game ahead of the break. Expect to see greatness as these two giants go up against each other on TNT.
