Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo took to Twitter on Thursday to send out a wise message amid the NBA's suspension of the season due to the coronavirus:

It's unclear how long the NBA season will be suspended for. For now, basketball really shouldn't be on the minds of people. Keeping safe hygiene and staying around your loved ones should be the priority for everyone at the moment.

Giannis has a newborn son to take care of during this outbreak. The NBA's reigning MVP and his girlfriend are surely taking every precaution.

If the 2019-20 NBA season is over, then Giannis and the Bucks will have finished with the best record in the league again. The 2020 NBA playoffs were scheduled to begin on April 18. Many pundits picked the Bucks to win the Eastern Conference and advance to the NBA Finals.

Giannis is averaging 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists on the season for the Bucks. The Greek Freak is shooting 54.7 percent from the field, 30.6 percent from beyond the arc and 63.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The NBA MVP award was set to come down to Giannis and Los Angeles Lakers star and four-time MVP LeBron James. Again, we don't know for sure if the season is officially over. League officials are expected to keep the season on hold for at least a month.
