Milwaukee Bucks general manager Jon Horst feels “really good” about where Milwaukee is at despite failing to hit a home run this offseason and losing combo guard Malcolm Brogdon to the Indiana Pacers.

Horst and the Bucks re-signed center Brook Lopez, small forward Khris Middleton and point guard George Hill. They also signed Brook's brother Robin Lopez and Giannis Antetokounmpo's brother Thanasis Antetokounmpo.

Milwaukee had the best record in the NBA last season, but fell short of its goal. The Bucks lost to the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals in six games.

“The summary of our free agency is, we brought back everyone from our core with the exception of Malcolm,” Horst told Marc Stein of The New York Times. “I don’t want to call that a home run, because I think we value Malcolm significantly and have a healthy understanding of what he meant to our team. But, ultimately, we feel really good about where we’re at.”

Bucks superstar MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is only going to get better. The 24-year-old averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists this past season while shooting 57.8 percent from the field. The expectation is Antetokounmpo is going to improve his jump shot this summer, a sight no one in the NBA wants to see.

Jon Horst was the Executive of the Year in 2018-19 for signing Brook Lopez last summer and acquiring George Hill during the season.
