Former NBA player and Milwaukee Bucks guard Jason Terry says “it's just a joy to watch” Giannis Antetokounmpo play basketball.

Terry spent the last two years of his NBA career with the Bucks and got to see Antetokounmpo's hard work up close and personal.

Milwaukee has the best record in the league this season, and many believe Giannis will win the MVP. Terry says it's cool to see the Bucks break through the way they have this season.

“You're a proud coach, a proud mentor, so to speak, because you know the preparation, the work that was put into the process of them getting to where they're at now,” Jason Terry told James Herbert of CBS Sports. “And to speak directly toward Giannis and his growth and development, it's just a joy to watch. Because you knew when you were putting those hard hours in the night before the game, early-morning sessions, film sessions, individual sessions, you knew that the work he was doing was going to pay off.

“Now, the fact that we're not there to touch it and feel it but we can see it, still you get the same feeling of satisfaction to see where they're going now. Because, again, we made it to the playoffs two years in a row, got defeated, and we knew eventually this team would break through.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 27.5 points, 12.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game this season for the Bucks.

The three-time All-Star is shooting 58.0 percent from the field and has 50 double-doubles and five triple-doubles.
