The Milwaukee Bucks signed Thanasis Antetokounmpo to a two-year, $3 million contract this offseason. Antetokounmpo comes with high expectations, and Bucks general manager Jon Horst was pleased to add him to the already well rounded-squad:

“Thanasis is a young player with some great experience at the top level overseas,” Horst said on Bucks.com. “He brings toughness, athleticism, character, and a high IQ. We are thrilled to have him join the Bucks.”

Thanasis is the older brother of Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The older Antetokounmpo might not ever reach the standard that his brother has set, but he could still pan out as a solid NBA player. In his G League career, he averaged 12.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 steals in 141 games.

Thanasis will get a chance to prove that he belongs as a bench piece on the championship-contending Bucks.  While the team already boasts impressive depth, Milwaukee's most impressive facet last season was the fact that they were 15-man deep. It led to them winning 60 games and having the best regular-season record in the league.

By adding Thanasis, the Bucks could look to accomplish the feat yet again. This time, they'll be looking to go even further in the playoffs and avoid another pre-Finals exit.
