Milwaukee Bucks stud Jrue Holiday has established himself as one of the top two-way guards in the NBA today. He's a pretty good passer of the ball too, and his assisting acumen was on full display on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Holiday put himself in a bit of a bind as he elevated for a running jumper in the lane. In imminent danger of being blocked by Wolves big man Naz Reid, Holiday had to get creative (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

Holiday saved himself from the embarrassment of getting his shot swatted away by deciding to pass the ball at the last second — to himself. It looked like Holiday was looking for a drop pass to Bucks teammate Bobby Portis Jr., but the ball somehow found the way back to himself. Ever the opportunist, Holiday took advantage of the blunder by connecting on a wide-open layup.

The Bucks were without reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo in this one yet again so Holiday had to pick up the slack. Giannis did put in a full practice on Tuesday, though, and he should be able to suit up for the Bucks on Thursday when they take on the Atlanta Hawks in the second night of a back-to-back set.
