The Milwaukee Bucks season may have come to a disappointing end. Fortunately, it appears forward Khris Middleton and center Brook Lopez will still have an opportunity to compete with the best of the best this summer.

Team USA is set to host a training camp in August to assemble a squad for the 2019 FIBA World Cup. According to ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Lopez is among the notable players expected to take part in this year's festivities:

Among additional players expected to join USA Basketball’s training camp in August on way to a roster spot in September’s FIBA World Cup in China: Bradley Beal, Eric Gordon, Kyle Kuzma, Damian Lillard, Brook Lopez, Kevin Love, CJ McCollum and Jayson Tatum.

It was revealed that Middleton has also accepted his invitation to join his teammate at the training camp.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton has accepted an invitation to the 18-man Team USA training camp in August, league source tells ESPN. Team USA is fielding a roster to bring to the FIBA World Cup in China in September.

It is safe to say that the Bucks will be well-represented at this year's tryouts. Lopez and Middleton will be putting in their bid to make the final roster. Only the NBA's elite, American-born players are set to join them.

Both players are coming off of career years in Milwaukee and played vital roles in their regular season success and deep playoff run. Middleton was able to emerge as an All-Star and solid complementary option for forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. Meanwhile, Lopez will undoubtedly be one of the more sought-after free agents on the market this offseason. Regardless, they will be looking to extend their time as teammates on Team USA this summer.
