Giannis Antetokounmpo came out with a masterful performance on Sunday night to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 101-89 Game 1 victory over the Boston Celtics. All eyes were on the former back-to-back MVP and this included Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson.

The Lakers icon took to Twitter to heap praise on Giannis after taking over in Sunday's series opener against a feisty Celtics side:

“The World Champion Milwaukee Bucks beat the Celtics in Game 1, led by the best player in basketball, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished with 24 points, 12 assists and 13 rebounds!” Magic said in his tweet.

Giannis dropped a massive triple-double all over Jayson Tatum and Co. and as much as the Celtics put up a good fight, they just had no answer for Antetokounmpo.

Game 2 of this series is scheduled for Tuesday night and Boston will want to win that one on their home floor. Another win for the defending champs puts them in an excellent position to progress to the next round. The Celtics, however, are not going to go down without a fight here. This should be a mouth-watering series between two of the top contenders for this year's crown.
