Since the arrival of Eric Bledsoe with the Milwaukee Bucks, he has affected the games of some of his new teammates. While he has brought more depth to their guard rotation, and another weapon on the offensive end, he has also changed the role of Malcolm Brogdon with the team.

The reigning Rookie of the Year is still getting nearly the same amount of minutes, however, he now plays at shooting guard as well, leaving the point guard duties to Bledsoe.

Brogdon admits it has affected his confidence, via Matt Velasquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He then cited being out of rhythm as another issue since the changes happened.

“Confidence for me has fluctuated a little bit, just being out of rhythm,” Brogdon said. “Playing a different role on this team is a total adjustment for me.”

Bledsoe landed in Milwaukee earlier this month following a trade that involved Greg Monroe. With the development, Malcolm Brogdon no longer have one of his closest friends as a teammate, and he appears to be struggling to adjust in his new role. The good news for him though is he still sees a lot of court action, after earning the trust of head coach Jason Kidd.

The Bucks faithful are certainly hoping Brogdon will be able to play close to the level he was at a year ago, and that his new role will not serve as a distraction to him and the team. Should he find his niche again, it will be a huge boost to the Bucks, who are looking to have a deeper run in the playoffs, and even upset some of the title favorites in the East.
